Configure the Rotate Data in 2D Tab
The properties in the Rotate Data in 2D tab allow you to deal with 2D rotation in Datamine block models and the transformations to apply to other data files to work in the same space. See Rotate Data to more details.
Activity Steps
- Select the Data Loader Component from the Project Tree.
- Select the Data Loader tab at the bottom of the Main Canvas.
- Select the Rotate Data in 2D tab in the Property Panel.
- Configure the following options as required.
- Get transformation settings by selecting a data loader – Select here your block model to automatically apply the same transformation to your data (your drillholes for example), to be in the same local coordinates as your block model. The Enable 2D Rotation checkbox will be activated, the angle and the translation fields along X, Y and Z will be automatically filled in.
- Enable 2D Rotation – There are two cases:
- The imported file is a Datamine block model with a rotation. This one is detected when importing the file. The Enable 2D Rotation checkbox is activated, the angle and the translation fields along X, Y and Z are automatically filled in but everything is greyed out.
- You want to apply a rotation / translation to your data. In this case, you should manually check the Enable 2D Rotation toggle and then you should fill in the different fields:
- Pre-Rotation Translation – A first translation along X, Y and Z can be applied to the data file.
- Rotation – This field indicates the rotation to apply. The angle is expressed as an azimuth.
- Post-Rotation Translation – A second translation along X, Y and Z can be applied to the data file after the rotation.
