3D Properties Window
The 3D Properties window can be accessed by clicking the Properties button on the 3D Options Toolbar.
The 3D Properties window contains options to alter the view of the data and axes for block models. The tabs and options within them are described below.
Light Tab
- Enabled – Whether to enable lighting effects.
- Ambient – Ambient light colour.
- Diffuse – Diffuse light colour.
- Back Color – Background colour.
- Direction (deg) – Horizontal direction the light is coming from.
- Tilt (deg) – Vertical direction the light is coming from.
Axes 2d Tab
- Visible – Whether the 2D axes display in the 3D View Window.
- Line Colour
- Font
- X, Y and Z Labels field groups:
- Visible – Whether the labels on the relevant axes are visible.
- Auto spacing – Whether to use auto spacing between characters.
- Auto decimals – Whether to use auto decimals.
Axes 3d tab
- Visible – Whether the 2D axes display in the 3D View window.
- Line Colour
- XY, XZ and YZ Axes field groups:
- Bottom – Whether to display axis lines at the bottom of the 3D grid.
- Middle – Whether to display axis lines in the middle of the 3D grid.
- Top – Whether to display axis lines at the top of the 3D grid.
- Font
- X, Y and Z Labels field group:
- Visible – Whether the labels on the relevant axes are visible.
- Auto spacing – Whether to use auto spacing between characters.
- Auto decimals – Whether to use auto decimals.
Camera Tab
- Near Plane – Distance to the nearest plane from the camera.
- Far Plane – Distance to the furthest plane from the camera.
- FOV angle – Field of view angle.
- Set Defaults – Reset all settings to defaults.
Look At Tab
- Visible – Whether the cross hairs display in the 3D View window.
- Line Colour
- Line Size – Thickness of the cross hair lines.
- Axes Size – Size of the cross hairs.
- Labels field group:
- Visible – Whether the numbers on the cross hairs are visible.
- Font
- Names field group:
- Visible – Whether the names of each axis on the cross hairs are visible.
- Font
- X, Y and Z – Name of each axis.
