Configure Scatter Plot Regression Line

The Regression Line tab provides options for configuring the presentation of the regression lines in scatter plots. The regression line can either be calculated using the least squares method or the reduced major axis method.

Activity Steps

1. Display the graph.
2. In the Property Panel, select the Regression Line tab.
3. Select whether to Show Line of Regression.
   1. Select the method to calculate the regression line from Least Squares and Reduced Major Axis.  
4. Select whether to Show Confidence Limits.
   1. Enter the Confidence value.
5. Select whether to Show Interactive Regression Line.
   1. Select the Regression Line Type from Linear, Power, Exponential and Quadratic.
   2. Select whether to Force Regression Through Y.
      1. Enter the value at which the regression line is forced to cross the Y-axis.
