Configure Variogram Draw Properties

The Draw tab contains options to specify how the directional model is to be drawn.

Activity Steps

  1. Display the Variogram.
  2. Select the Draw tab in the Property Panel.
  3. Configure the following settings as required.
    • Show field group:
      • Variogram Type – See Variogram Types and Data Transformations.
      • Variogram – Whether to display gamma values on the variogram.
      • Lines – Whether to display lines connecting gamma values. Only available if Variogram is checked.
      • Mean – Whether to display the (normalised) mean of the head values at each gamma point
      • Point size – Size of gamma points.
      • Pair counts – Whether to display pair counts on the variogram.
      • Bars – Whether to display Pair counts as bars or numbers.
      • Model – Whether to display the model line on the variogram.
      • Angular Tolerance – Whether to display the angular tolerance on the variogram.
      • Table of Structures – Whether to display a table of structures on the variogram. The table displays information on the nugget and structures in the variogram.
      • Draw Border – Display a border around the table of structures. Only available if Table of Structures is checked.
      • Transparent – Make the background of the table of structures transparent. Only available if Table of Structures and Draw Border are checked.
      • Draggers – Whether to display the structure draggers.
      • Lag size – Whether to display the lag size in the top-right of the variogram.
      • Lag bar – Whether to display the lag bar beneath the variogram.
      • Variance – Whether to display the (normalised) variance of the head values at each gamma point.
    • Options field group:
      • Standardise gamma values – Standardise gamma values to a sill of 1.0 by dividing the gamma values by the (co)variance.
      • Invert model – For some variogram types, the graph starts at the sill and approaches zero, so a traditional model needs to be inverted to better fit the graph.
      • Min pairs – Minimum number of pairs used in the construction of the experimental variogram (must be a positive integer). Any gamma value calculated with less than the specified number of pairs is not shown on the plot.
    • Separation Scaling field group:
      • Separation Scaling – Scale the X-axis separation according to this setting. Select from Ray, Group and User.
      • Max Separation Displayed – Maximum Displayed Sample Separation. Read-only. This number can be adjusted by clicking and dragging beneath the X-axis in the Main Canvas.
    • Gamma Scaling field group:
      • Variogram Scaling – Scale the Y-axis separation according to this setting. Select from Sill, Ray, Group and User.
      • Gamma – Maximum Gamma scale value. Read-only. This number can be adjusted by clicking and dragging left of the Y-axis in the Main Canvas.
      • Pair count – Maximum pair count scale value. Read-only.
