Configure Variogram Rotation Properties

This article explains how to configure the Rotation component that is automatically inserted with the Continuity Models component. For the stand alone Rotation component, see Rotation.

  1. Select the Rotation component from the Project Tree.

Note: By default, this component is named Gslib ZXY Rotation, but it may be named something else, depending on your settings.

  2. Select the Axis tab from the Property Panel.
  3. Select the Compatibility type from the menu. This prepares your variography data to be exported in a way that is compatible with a particular software package.
    1. Depending on the Compatibility type selected, you may also need to configure the following fields.
      1. Rotation Type – Available Euler angles.
      2. Dir 1 Axis – The original orientation of Direction 1 (direction of greatest continuity) before any rotation has taken place.
  4. Select whether to have a Transparent search ellipsoid in the 3D View Window.
  5. Select whether to Show Fans in 3D in the 3D View Window.
  6. Once all rotation properties are configured, you can export your variograms. See Export Variograms.
