Configure Local Kriging Neighbourhood Optimisation Properties
The LKNO tab provides options for configuring the LKNO component.
Tip: Click and drag the left edge of the Property Panel to resize it.
Activity Steps
- Select the LKNO component from the Project Tree.
- Select the LKNO tab from the Property Panel.
- Configure the following options as required.
- Model Specification field group:
- Origin Coordinates – Block model origin point. Values can be entered manually or read from the Loaded Block Model.
- Block Size – Block size (parent cell). Values can be entered manually or read from the Loaded Block Model.
- No. of blocks – Number of blocks in each direction. Values can be entered manually or read from the Loaded Block Model.
- Loaded Block Model – Block models that have been loaded into the project can be selected here.
- Sub-blocks – Whether the loaded block model contains sub-blocks. This option is automatically checked if the loaded block model contains sub-blocks.
- Select Variogram field group:
- Variogram – Select the variograms to be used for the LKNO.
- Search Angles – If a Variogram is selected the Search Angles are automatically filled. If no Variogram is selected, enter Search Angles manually.
- Discretisation field group:
- Discretisation
- Generate Parameter Scenarios field group:
- Generate Parameter Scenarios – Whether to generate all parameters in this field group in a single run.
- Number of samples – Minimum and maximum number of samples for each parameter set.
- Search rand as % variogram range – Minimum and maximum search ranges to be used for the major, semi-major and minor axes using a percentage of the search ranges in each direction.
- Fill Parameter Table – Fill the Parameter Table with the values entered in the Generate Parameter Scenarios field group.
- Topcut Option field group:
- No Topcut – No topcut applied.
- Global topcut – Apply a global topcut.
- Current maximum grade – Maximum grade of the samples in the dataset. Takes into account any filters that have been set.
- Topcut from global topcut analysis – Every block is topcut by the value defined by the Global Topcut Analysis. This option is greyed out if a global topcut analysis has not been inserted.
- Topcut at value – Samples greater than the value entered here are reset to this value.
- Topcut each block by metal percentage – Every block is topcut by a nominated metal percentage.
- Local topcut – Apply a local topcut.
- Topcut to maintain CV limit – If the CV (Coefficient of Variation) of the samples used to calculate the block exceeds the nominated CV and the sample distribution is positively skewed, then the sample data is topcut until the nominated CV level is reached. If the samples are negatively skewed, no topcut is applied.
- Topcut metal by percentage – If the CV of the samples used to calculate a block exceeds the nominated CV and the sample distribution is positively skewed, the sample data is topcut by the metal percentage defined.
- Topcut by local transition – Apply a local topcut transition analysis, if there is one available.
- Optimisation field group:
- Kriging efficiency – Whether to optimise Kriging Efficiency within the tolerance specified. Default = 0.01.
- Slope of regression – Whether to optimise Slope of Regression within the tolerance specified. Default = 0.01.
- Sum of Negative Weights – Whether to optimise sum of negative weights within the tolerance specified. Default = 0.025.
- Parameter Table – Type values directly into the table rather than filling with the Fill Parameter Table option.
- Model Specification field group:
