Configure Conditional Simulation Properties

The Conditional Simulation tab controls the primary conditional simulation settings.

Activity Steps

1. Display the graph.
2. Select the Conditional Simulation tab in the Property Panel.
3. Configure the following options as required.
   • Simulation Settings field group:
     • Simulated Assay – Target assay for which the simulations run.
     • Simulation Method – Select from Sequential Gaussian Simulation (SGS) or Turning Bands.
     • Kriging Type – Kriging method to be used during estimation of the initial node values. Select from Simple Kriging or Ordinary Kriging.
     • Number of Simulations – Only available if Test Mode is unchecked.
     • Test Mode – Set the Number of Simulations to 1 to run a simulation test.
     • Seed – Value used to start the random number generator, which determines the path taken to visit each node in the simulation grid. If all inputs and the seed are identical, then simulation results can be reproduced.
     • Number of Bands – Determines the number of bands calculated during the simulation. Only available if Turning Bands is selected as the Simulation Method.
   • Node Definition field group:
     • Create From Specified Region – Define the coordinate range of the grid by entering values in the Minimum coordinates, Maximum Coordinates, Block Size, Number Of Points Per Block, and Maximum Node-Sample Distance fields at the bottom of the panel.

       Note: When Create From Specified Region is selected, the minimum and maximum coordinates for the X, Y and Z directions automatically calculate based on the minimum and maximum extents of the data. These coordinates are rounded to the nearest block size to ensure a valid node definition.

     • Create From Points File – Define the simulation grid using point data. Ranges and block sizes are generated automatically.
     • Point File – Only available if Create From Points File is checked.
     • Create From Block Model – Define the simulation grid using the loaded block model parameters. Ranges and block sizes are generated automatically.
     • Block Model – Only available if Create From Block Model is checked.
   • Import From CSV File field group:
     • Node File – Upload a file to define the simulation grid. Only available if Import From CSV File is checked.
   • Minimum Coordinates – Only available if Create From Specified Region or Import From CSV File is checked.
   • Maximum Coordinates
   • Block Size
   • Number Of Points Per Block – Number of points per block in each direction. Nodes are populated within blocks so that they are evenly spaced.
   • Maximum Node-Sample Distance – No nodes are generated if they would be further from a sample than this distance. Only available if Create From Specified Region is checked.
   • Roll Back Property Changes – Roll back any property changes and unlock the component if it is flagged for updating.
