Configure Multivariate Simulation Results Export Properties
The Results Export tab of the Multivariate Simulation component allows you to generate and export additional statistics for any reblocked simulation. Confidence interval statistics can also be exported.
Each record in the export has the selected statistics calculated for each confidence interval selected or defined. The confidence interval for each record is calculated by ranking the simulation results and then masking any simulation results that are outside the percentiles defined by the confidence interval. The statistics are then calculated using the remaining simulations only.
Activity Steps
- Select the Multivariate Simulation component in the Project Tree.
- Select the Vario/Search tab from the Property Panel.
- Configure the following options as required.
- Cut-Off Statistics From Probability Plots field group:
- Probability Above Cut-Offs
- Mean Grade Above Cut-Offs (MGAC)
- Statistics field group:
- Mean – Mean of all simulation results within the confidence interval. Export column name: mean_##ci.
- Minimum – Minimum value of the simulation results within the confidence interval. Export column name: min_##ci.
- Maximum – Maximum value of the simulation results within the confidence interval. Export column name: max_##ci.
- Variance – Variance of the simulation results within the confidence interval. Export column name: var_##ci.
- Mean As Percentile – Average value of the simulation results within the confidence interval, expressed as a ranked percentile of the simulation results within the confidence interval. Export column name: meanpc_##ci.
- Median – Median simulation result within the confidence interval. Export column name: med_##ci.
- Confidence Interval field group:
- 95% – Excludes the top and bottom 2.5% of simulation results when generating the statistics.
- 50% – Excludes the top and bottom 25% of simulation results when generating the statistics.
- Custom Interval – Custom confidence interval that excludes simulation results outside the defined % values.
Note: If no confidence interval is chosen, then no simulation results are excluded.
