Enable Automatic Update of Compliance Status to "Expired" for Legal Commitments

Activity Steps to Enable the "Expired" Status

  1. Navigate to module settings:
    1. Go to: Main Menu > Administration > Module Administration.
  2. Access the Legal Commitment module settings:
    1. Click the Go to Settings button under the Manage Legal Commitment option.
    2. Note: The module name may vary depending on your configuration.
  3. Enable the relevant feature:
    1. Locate and activate the option labeled Mark Agreement as Expired if Pending and Past Due Date.
    2. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Save to apply the changes.

How the Feature Works

  1. The Expiration Date field will be enabled in the creation, editing, and datatable views of the module.
  2. If the entered expiration date is earlier than the current date, the system will automatically update the compliance status to Expired.
  3. The status column in the datatable will only update if the commitment has an expired due date. Otherwise, it will retain the last assigned status based on linked files and their priority.
