Place a Drill

Place a drill in each section in order to create drill holes.

Activity Steps

Important: A minimum of one section needs to be created in your drill and blast design project.

1. In the Drill & Blast Tab, in the Create group, click Place Drill. The drill setup dialogue opens.

2. A red reference line appears with a drill sketch.

   Important: The drill sketch may not be the exact representation of your drill. As long as your drill limits are correctly set in the Drill & Blast configuration database, the drill sketch respects the inputted limits.

3. To quickly create a setup, choose the location you wish the drill to be located and click to create the setup. Multiple setups can be created on the same reference line.

4. To create a setup using specific distances from the reference line, left wall or right wall, select the appropriate radial button and enter the Distance to Reference.

   1. Click Create Setup.

   2. You can Pass Drill Limits and Reverse the Drill if required.

5. Click Close to exit.
