Add a New Sample to the Client Job
During the initial configuration, series may be set up with a predefined number of samples. However, as operational requirements change, you may need to add new samples to a series. To do this, the sample must first be added to the sample batch and then assigned to the corresponding analysis code in the Client Jobs page.
After new samples are added to a series, the next step is to assign them to the appropriate analysis code on the Client Jobs page. This ensures that each sample follows the correct workflow, is associated with the required tests, and that all results are recorded accurately in the system. This activity describes the process of properly linking the newly added samples to the sample batch to their corresponding analysis code.
Activity Steps
- Add a Sample After a Batch is Loaded.
-
Click on the Client Job page.
The Job Book - Client Job page displays.
- Select the Code to which the new sample or samples should be assigned.
-
Click Setup.
The Client Job Setup screen displays.
-
Locate and select the new Sample ID in the list on the far left of the screen. If the sample ID does not appear in the list on the left (which displays all available sample IDs based on their assigned products), it may be because the sample has a different product assigned than the currently displayed product. To resolve this, select the appropriate Product to switch between the available products.
-
Select the Product if required.
-
-
Select the Sample ID in the list to the right, after which the new sample will be inserted.
-
Click the Add Sample icon (left arrow).
The new sample is included in the analysis code with all the schemes that are assigned to the code.
-
Repeat steps 5-7 to add more than one sample, if created.
-
Click Close.
-
Repeat steps 3-8 if the new sample or samples need to be assigned to additional codes.
-
To save the series, see Save a Sample Batch as a Series.
