Add and Set up Instrument Control Samples

Instrument control samples are samples inserted into an instrument run for instrument maintenance or control. (This is different to calibration samples.) The results of instrument control sample analytes may be analyzed as part of the QC/QA protocol. In the AssayNet LIMS you can customize the control samples for individual analytes, adding specific accepted values, confidence levels and flag values if they do not fall within the specified percentage.

Note: To create a control standard, you first need to define control sample type; for example, AA. For more information, see Add a Control Sample Type.
