Resequence samples for a job-scheme

There are two ways to resequence samples for a job-scheme — single sample drag or multi-sample select and reposition.

Resequence by dragging single sample

  1. Access the CCQCSM—QC Sample Modification application to display the CCQCSM—QC Sample Modification Detail screen.
  2. Use the available search parameters like Job Name, Scheme and Job Type to search for samples.
  3. Select a single sample and drag it up or down within the list of samples.
  4. Drop the sample to the desired position.
  5. You can repeat step 3-4 for other samples.
  6. Once finished, click Submit.

Resequence by selecting multiple samples

  1. Access the CCQCSM—QC Sample Modification application to display the CCQCSM—QC Sample Modification Detail screen.
  2. Use the available search parameters like Job Name, Scheme and Job Type to search for samples.
  3. Select the samples using the checkbox.
  4. Click Move Samples.
    1. If the form is dirty due to a previous change, then the form must be saved or the previous action must be cancelled to proceed.
    2. If the form is not dirty then a dialog box appears.
  5. Select move position Before or After the sample number of the row selected.
    1. To move the samples to the top, select Before then enter 1 in the row number.
    2. To move the samples to the bottom, select After then enter 999 (this refers to the lowest possible row) in the row number.
  6. Select the sample number of the row selected.
  7. Check Auto-Rerack after Move if you want the system to rerack based on the new order otherwise leave it unchecked.
  8. Click OK. This will rearrange the samples to the defined position.

Note: When selecting the new position of the samples, you are selecting the row of the current sample name. That is an important distinction because the sample row is not fixed to the sample name.
