Generate a statistical chart for discrete QC history observations

  1. Access the CCQCHS—QC History Summary application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCQCHS—Search QC History Summary screen.
  2. Select Group By firstly by Analytical Type and QC Type or Analytical Type only, secondly by Standard and Lot or Standard only, and thirdly by Scheme and Version or Scheme only.
  3. Enter other relevant search criteria and click Search to display QC history summaries that match the criteria.

  4. Note: All codes, enumerations and Job Name fields are case-sensitive for searching.

  5. Open the required QC history summary to display the CCQCHS—QC History Summary Detail screen.
  6. Select the Chart Criteria tab.
  7. Select the Chart Type.

    Note: The available chart types depend upon the selected analytical type. The fields that are shown depends upon the selected analytical type and selected chart type.

  8. Update the Chart Title, if required.
  9. Enter the chart criteria, as per the field descriptions for the screen.
  10. Select the Chart tab and click Draw Chart to generate the chart.
  11. Hover the mouse pointer over a point on a QC chart in QC history summary to view detailed information about the point.
  12. To zoom into an area on the chart:
    1. Click the mouse at one corner of the area you wish to zoom, and drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the area you wish to zoom.
    2. Click Reset Zoom to redisplay the chart in its original form.
  13. To change the activity status for one data point on the chart, which is only allowable when the selected Group Size is 1:
    1. Click on the relevant data point on the chart and select Change Activity Status to display the Update Activity Status for Data Point dialog box.
    2. Select the Observation Status.
    3. Click OK to update selected observation's Is Active state, displayed on the Discrete Observations tab when it is refreshed, which is used as a search criteria when searching for discrete observations.
  14. To ignore a QC failure status for one data point on the chart, which is only allowable when the selected Group Size is 1:
    1. Click on the relevant data point on the chart and select Ignore Data Point to display the Ignore Failure dialog box.
    2. Click OK to confirm the ignoring of the QC failure, such that, for each selected QC observation, if QC Status is Failure, Upper Failure, Lower Failure or Trend Failure, then QC Status is set to Ignore Failure, Ignore Upper Failure, Ignore Lower Failure or Ignore Trend failure, respectively.
