Generating Validation Reports

The CCVALN—Job and Sample Validation application is used to generate validation reports, and can be accessed using the Analysis » Result Validation menu option.

A validation report on jobs and the samples within a job is generated to allow Lab Supervisors to review validations in report form, and to act as a record of the validations completed for a job. The system launches a validation report script which creates a report request and generates the report for the job associated with the selected samples.

When one or more rows in the job and sample validation grid are selected and the Report grid flow is selected, then, if an active and in scope VALIDATION_REPORT_SCRIPT application preference exists, and its value set to the code of a lab-scope script, and that script uploaded using the CCSCRT—Script application, then the script is run to generate a validation report.

The list of selected jobs and samples is passed into the script, which typically uses report request services to create a report request and generate a report from that report request.

Adding Signatories to Jobs for a Validation Report

Adding a signatory allows a report to include the signatory's signature text, signature, photo, and other user details.

When the Add Signatory row flow is selected for a sample in the job and sample validation grid:

• If, for any org-scope scheme on the job, the org-scope scheme (note, NOT the enabled-scope scheme) is linked to an org-scope Section Code, and that section group is linked to an org-scope Validate Result User Group Code, and you are a member of that validation user group, or
• If, for any lab-scope scheme on the job, the lab-scope scheme is linked to an org-scope Section Code, and that section group is linked to an org-scope Validate Result User Group Code, and you are a member of that validation user group, or
• If, for any lab-scope scheme on the job, the lab-scope scheme is linked to a lab-scope Section Code, and that section group is linked to an org-scope Validate Result User Group Code, and you are a member of that validation user group, or
• If, for any lab-scope scheme on the job, the lab-scope scheme is linked to a lab-scope Section Code, and that section group is linked to a lab-scope Validate Result User Group Code, and you are a member of that validation user group,

where, if a job stakeholder with a Scope Type of Other and a User Code set to your user code does not already exist on the job, then it is created. This can be viewed by opening the job details and selecting the Reporting tab in the CCREGN—Job application. This report request can be used to generate a validation report.

In all other cases, an error is raised: Cannot set current user as Job owner due to not being a member of the appropriate User Group for the Job's schemes.

Exporting Validation Jobs and Samples to a Report

During a validation session, samples are exported to a grid report for reviewing, printing or emailing.

When the Export to report grid flow is selected, where the Export to Report dialog box is launched, allowing you to export the job and sample validation grid data to a report.

Where an active and in scope SEARCH_REPORT_CCVALNSAMPLE application preference exists, and its value set to a comma-delimited list of report templates, then you can select a Report Template Code from this list, as well as enter Printer, Email To and indicate whether to Download the report after it is generated.
