Configuring Automatic Result Validation for a Product
Given a result has no QC failure and passes the product specification limits for the product, such that the sample scheme analyte specification's Specification Status of the primary specification is something other than Failure (for critical and non-critical individual specification limits) and the sample scheme analyte's Composite QC Status is something other than Failure, during Workflow Status Cascade the sample scheme analyte is validated automatically.
If a scheme version analyte's Auto Release check box is cleared, that is, manual release is in place for the scheme version analyte, then any automatic validation occurs after the manual release. However, if the scheme version analyte's Auto Release is selected, that is, automatic release is in place for the sample scheme analyte, then the automatic validation occurs immediately after the automatic release.
When a sample scheme analyte is validated, the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is set to Completed if it is not already Listed Not Received, Insufficient Sample, Not Analysed or No Result (in which case, it is left as that), its validated date is stamped and validated by is set to the current user.
