Maintaining System Table Localisations
A table code localisation is an entry in a language other than the base language of the system, for a particular table code.
Table Code Localisation Scope
Table code localisations are created at instance-level. An instance can contain multiple table code localisations.
Table code localisations are scoped by table type.
Use of Table Code Localisations
Simple drop-down lists available on various CCLAS fields, as configured in the MSF010 system table, are displayed on the screen using the language of the browser. The MSEL10—Table Code Localizations application allows translations for table codes to be entered in a language supported by CCLAS. Table code localisations can be used by report scripts to report the string in the appropriate language.
Localising Drop-down Lists
Table codes in the system table, especially those that are used to hold items used to populate a drop-down list for a CCLAS field, can be localised to a particular system language.
Use this process to search table types for table codes and descriptions that require translation into an CCLAS supported language. To translate the table code and description, you must set your browser to display in the required language before you launch the screen. The screen name and field descriptions display in the selected language.
The process is intended to be used primarily by system administrators or consultants.
