Screen flows

• Submit—Perform a search using the entered search criteria and display the results in the grid.

• New Search—Return to the Search screen and clear the search results and the search criteria.

• Saved Searches—Display a saved searches menu where you can save a search, rename and delete existing searches. Refer to Using the Screen Interface for more information.

Primary Criteria Tab

• Sample Code

  Search samples by code.

• Job Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated job.

• Job Name

  Search samples by the name of an associated job.

• Job Type

  Search samples by the type of an associated job:

  • Production—A production job is a collection of samples and their tests submitted from a client, from which a certificate report of results is generated for the client.

  • Lab Batch—A laboratory batch job is a collection of samples for common testing, gathered together to save on costs and for time efficiency of preparation and analysis.

  • Internal—An internal job is a collection of samples and tests registered for internal purposes, for example, analysis of instrument calibration.

  • Proposal—A proposal job is a collection of proposed samples and tests for a client, so that the client can be given an example of a typical report and invoice if real samples were submitted for testing.

  • Template—A template job is used to create other jobs and can contain a collection of template samples and their tests that are optionally included when creating a job from it.

  • Schedule—A schedule job is similar to a template job except that it has a registration frequency, and contains a collection of stream samples and their tests, that may be used interactively to draft a job, update the draft job content, and from that create or update a production job, or that may be used by the batch queue at the scheduled time to create or update a production job with stream samples. A stream sample is a sample of a known product that is taken a particular location in the production process, or a standard sample that is inserted into the analytical stream of samples from the production process.

  • Draft—A draft job is a transient job that is created interactively from a schedule job, upon which its registration details, samples and tests can be modified prior to it being enacted to create samples in a production or internal job.

• Archive Status

  Search for samples by their archive status:

  • Online Only (default)—Return samples that reside in the Live Production Environment only.

  • Online and Archived—Return samples that reside in the Live Production Environment or Archive Repository.

  • Online, Archived & Obsolete—Return samples that reside in the Live Production Environment, Archive Repository or Offline Storage.

• Workflow Status

  Search samples by workflow status:

  • Registered

  • Not Started

  • Listed Not Received

  • Started

  • Insufficient Sample

  • Analysed

  • Released

  • Completed

  • Finalised

  • Cancelled—Where this workflow status is included in the criteria and the Include Cancelled Jobs check box is:

    • Checked—Cancelled jobs are included in the search result set.

    • Unchecked—The Workflow Status of Cancelled is ignored, such that, cancelled jobs are excluded from the search result set.

  • No Result

  • Not Analysed.

  Multiple criteria can be entered in the field to be applied as "Or".

• Analytical Type

  Search samples by primary analytical type:

  • All

  • Unknown

  • Duplicate

  • Replicate

  • Standard

  • Blank

  • Spike.

• Composite QC Status

  Search samples by composite QC status:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

  • Warning

  • Failure.

  Where multiple criteria are entered, then the criteria are applied as "Or".

• QC Type Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated QC type.

• Composite Specification Status

  Search samples by specification status:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Pass

  • Warning

  • Failure

    Ignore Failure.

  Where multiple criteria are entered, then the criteria are applied as "Or".

• Standard Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated standard.

• Contract Submission #

  Search samples by contract submission number.

• Registered By

  Search samples by the code of the user who registered the sample.

• Contract

  Search samples by contract.

• Received By

  Search samples by the code of the user who received the sample at the laboratory.

• Owned By

  Search samples by the code of the user who owns the sample within the laboratory context.

• Client Submission #

  Search samples by the client submission number.

• Priority

  Search samples by priority. Entered in the format xN, where x is an integer and N is a code for a date-time period: S (second), N (minute), H (hour), D (day), M (month), Y (year). For example, 10D (10 days), 30N (30 minutes).

• Job Client Code

  Search samples by the code of a client linked to the associated job.

• Job Client Name

  Search samples by the name of a client linked to the associated job.

• Job Project Code

  Search samples by the code of a project linked to the associated job.

• Job Project Name

  Search samples by the name of a project linked to the associated job.

• Client Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated client.

• Client Group Code

  Search samples by the code of a client group in which the associated client is a member.

• Client Name

• Search samples by the name of an associated client.

• Product Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated product.

• Project Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated project.

• Project Name

  Search samples by the name of an associated project.

• Contact Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated contact.

• Include Cancelled Samples

  Indicates whether to include samples of cancelled jobs in the search. By default, samples in cancelled jobs are not returned from a search.

  Where a Workflow Status of Cancelled is included in the criteria and this check box is:

  • Checked—Samples in cancelled jobs are included in the search result set. The Job Cancelled date range criteria becomes available on the Sample Dates tab.

  • Unchecked—The Workflow Status of Cancelled is ignored, such that, samples in cancelled jobs are excluded from the search result set.

  Note: Samples in cancelled jobs cannot be added to a report request of any type—it is just that the CCRPTRSAMP—Search Sample screen is shared by the default CCSAMP—Search Sample screen, so this criteria is therefore shown on both screens.

Sample Dates Tab

The sample dates criteria.

• Sampled

  Search samples by when a sample was taken in the field. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Started

  Search samples by when a sample was started. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Last Activated

  Search samples by when a sample was last activated. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Analysed

  Search samples by when a sample was analysed. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Registered

  Search samples by when a sample was started. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Released

  Search samples by when the sample was released from analysis. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Received

  Search samples by when a sample was received. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Validated

  Search samples by when a sample was validated. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Owner Changed

  Search samples by when the owner of a sample was changed. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Last Reported

  Search samples by when a sample was last reported. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Required

  Search samples by when the report of a sample is required. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Last Invoiced

• Search samples by when a sample was last invoiced. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Possible

• Search samples by when a report of a job is possible. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Finalised

• Search samples by when a sample was finalised. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Agreed

• Search samples by when a report of a job is agreed to be ready. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Last Archived

• Search samples by when a sample was last archived. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

• Job Cancelled

  Search samples by when the associated job was cancelled. Select start and end dates from the calendars, and a date range option: Between, Any, Null or Delta.

  This search criteria only displays where the Include Cancelled Samples check box on the Primary Criteria tab is checked.

Scheme Criteria Tab

The scheme criteria.

• Sample Scheme Workflow Status

  Search samples by an associated scheme's Workflow Status:

  • Not Started

  • Listed Not Received

  • Started

  • Completed

  • Analysed

  • Released

  • Insufficient Sample

  Search samples by the workflow status of an associated sample scheme analyte:

• Sample Scheme Analyte User Workflow Status

  Search samples by the user workflow status of an associated sample scheme analyte. The drop-down list contains user workflow statuses from the System Table Codes with a Table Type of C30—User Statuses, as configured in the MSETBL—Table Code Service application.

  Multiple criteria can be entered in the field to be applied as "Or".

• Sample Scheme Analyte User QC Status

  Search samples by the user QC status of an associated sample scheme analyte. The drop-down list contains user QC statuses from the System Table Codes with a Table Type of C33—User QC Statuses, as configured in the MSETBL—Table Code Service application.

  Multiple criteria can be entered in the field to be applied as "Or".

• Sample Scheme Analyte Composite QC Status

  Search samples by the composite QC status of an associated sample scheme analyte:

  • Not Tested

  • Not Required

  • Incomplete

  • Pass

  • Ignore Warning

  • Ignore Failure

  • Ignore Lower Failure

  • Ignore Upper Failure

  • Ignore Trend Failure

• Section Code

  Search samples by the code of a section linked to an associated scheme.

• Scheme Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated scheme. Schemes returned from the search include a) org-scope schemes that have no line of business or a line of business matching one of the laboratory's lines of business, and b) lab-scope schemes.

• Analyte Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated analyte.

• Batch Code

  Search samples by the code of a laboratory batch job linked to an associated sample's sample scheme analyte.

• Batch Workflow Status

  Search samples by the Workflow Status of an associated sample scheme in a laboratory batch job:

  • All

  • Registered (not actually applicable for sample scheme analytes)

  • Not Started

  • Received (date-based status)

  • Listed Not Received

  • Cancelled

  • Suspended

  • Started

  • Check

  • Repeat

Biofields Tab

The job and sample biofield criteria to search for report requests.

• Biofield Code

  Search samples by the code of an associated sample biofield. A biofield may be selected from the drop-down list that contains active job biofields in scope, and linked to no line of business or to a line of business associated with the laboratory, as configured in the CCBFLD—Biofield application. Click the field hyperlink to display the CCBFLD—Search Biofield screen, select the appropriate value and click Select and Return to populate the field with the selected value.

  More search criteria fields display according to the selected Biofield Code (for example, lists for list type codes, date pickers for date types, or wildcard or text values).

Search Results Grid

The search results grid allows you to view and sort results from a search.

By default, the samples are sorted in ascending order by the samples' Job Code, Registration Sequence and Sample Code.
