Release Results in Workbook Cells

Use this activity to release results in workbook cells.

Activity Steps

  1. Open a workbook session in normal mode to display the CCWKOP—Workbook Open Detail screen or in transposed mode to display the CCWKOP—Workbook Open Transposed Detail screen.
  2. Select cells where results are to be released.
  3. Access the Release native workbook command (accessed via a workbook menu).

If a sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is Analysed, and either the section does not have a Release Results User Group defined, or you are a member of that group, as per the restrictions outlined above, then the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is set to Released.

  4. Do one of the following:
    1. Click Submit.

The changes made during the workbook session are saved. Focus returns to the cell selected prior to the submit. Where multiple cells were selected prior to the submit, focus returns to the last selected cell.

    2. Click Submit and Close.

The changes made during the workbook session are saved and the sheet is closed.

When a sample scheme analyte is released, the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is set to Released, its Released Date is stamped and Released By is set to the current user.

When a sample scheme analyte's Composite Specification Status, Composite QC Status or Workflow Status is updated, the cascade engine re-evaluates these statuses up the respective production and/or laboratory batch job trees. Refer to Appendix—Cascade Engine.

If the sample scheme analyte's Auto Validate is selected, the sample is a laboratory batch sample, and the LAB_BATCH_MANUAL_VALIDATE_RESULTS application preference is defined and is cleared, and the sample scheme analyte's Workflow Status is Released, then the cascade engine sets the Workflow Status to Completed.
