Assigning Instruments for Analysis
Linking Analytical Schemes to Instrument Groups
Create an instrument group for the instruments that are potentially able to perform the analysis for a specific scheme. This does not have to contain any instruments yet.
Then create the analytical preparation or analytical scheme and link the scheme to an instrument group. Refer to Maintaining Schemes.
Create the required instruments for the laboratory, ensuring that its connection details are configured.
Add the instruments to the instrument group.
Assigning Instruments to Sample Schemes at Registration
When group of samples is added to a job and tests are added to the sample group, the system attempts to assign an instrument to each sample scheme, for analytical preparation and analytical schemes.
Assigning Instruments to Sample Schemes during Batching
Instruments are assigned to laboratory batches based upon the sample scheme's Instrument Group which is inherited from the master scheme. Refer to Assigning an Instrument to Selected Samples for Batching.
Workbooks can be located by instrument or instrument group.
