Set the QC_IGNORE_REASON_MANDATORY Preference
Use this activity to set the QC_IGNORE_REASON_MANDATORY application preference to make mandatory the entry of a reason as to why a composite QC failure was ignored.
Activity Steps
- Access the CCPREF—Preference application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCPREF—Search Preference screen.
- Enter the Preference Name—QC_IGNORE_REASON_MANDATORY
- Click Submit.
- Open the preference with the lowest level of scope to display the CCPREF—Preference Detail screen.
The Scope for this preference is usually set at laboratory level.
- If Is System is checked, then:
- Uncheck Is System.
- Click Submit.
- Ensure that Setting Type is set to BOOLEAN.
- To make mandatory the entry of a reason as to why a QC failure was ignored, check Setting Value.
When Ignoring a Composite QC Failure in a Workbook Session in the CCWKOP—Open Workbook application, or ignoring a composite QC failure when Releasing and Validating Results during Job and Sample Validation in the CCVALN—Validation application, and you do not supply a reason as to why it was ignored, then the ignoring of the composite QC failure does not proceed.
- To make optional the entry of a reason as to why a QC failure was ignored, uncheck Setting Value.
When Ignoring a Composite QC Failure in a Workbook Session in the CCWKOP—Open Workbook application, or ignoring a composite QC failure when Releasing and Validating Results during Job and Sample Validation in the CCVALN—Validation application, and a reason is not supplied as to why it is ignored, then the ignoring of the composite QC failure proceeds regardless.
- Set the Preference Type to PREFERENCE.
- Ensure Is Active is checked.
- Click Submit.
- If Is System was initially checked, then:
- Check Is System.
- Click Submit.
