Maintaining Standard Lots for a QC Standard

When a QC standard is first created, an initial standard lot is created. A standard lot links to the analytical limits for the material. Different standard lots can therefore have differing analytical limits. All analytical limits for a standard lot are maintained in a specification that has a Specification Type of Standard.

Standard lots have a tri-state: they are created with a Status of Draft, are activated for use to give then a Status of Active, and suspended from use to give them a Status of Suspended.

One particular standard lot is configured as the default standard lot for a QC standard.
