Maintain Precursor Schemes for a Scheme
Use this activity to maintain precursor schemes for a scheme.
When configuring precursor schemes:
-
A scheme with a Scheme Type of Sample Preparation can only have a precursor scheme that has a Scheme Type of Sample Preparation.
-
A scheme with a Scheme Type of Analytical Preparation can only have a precursor scheme that has a Scheme Type of either Sample Preparation or Analytical Preparation.
-
A scheme with a Scheme Type of Analytical can only have a precursor scheme that has a Scheme Type of either Sample Preparation or Analytical Preparation.
-
A scheme with precursor schemes can only be a linked scheme with another scheme that has the same set of precursor schemes.
Note: This is only applicable for org-scope and lab-scope schemes; it does not apply to lab-enabled org-scope schemes. Although precursor scheme relationships can be updated (added, deleted) for enabled-scope schemes, when sample scheme records are created, the precursor scheme relationships are taken from the org-scope scheme.
Activity Steps
- Access the CCSCHM—Scheme application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCSCHM—Search Scheme screen.
- Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.
Schemes that match the criteria display in the grid.
- Open the required scheme to display the CCSCHM—Scheme Detail screen.
- Select the Precursor Schemes tab.
To add a precursor scheme to the scheme:
- Click Lookup CCSCHM to display the CCSCHM—Search Scheme screen.
- Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.
Schemes that match the criteria display in the grid.
- Select the required schemes.
- Click Select and Return.
The schemes are added as precursor schemes.
- Click Submit.
To remove a precursor scheme from the scheme:
- Select the schemes in the grid to be deleted.
- Click Submit.
The precursor relationship is removed. This does not update existing precursor relationships between sample schemes, but effects sample schemes created after this point.
