Configure result rounding to occur before the result is compared with the detection limit
Use this activity to configure result rounding to occur before the result is compared with the detection limit for a rounding table.
Analysis can generate results that can provide numeric values over several orders of magnitude, which, for significant figures and scientific presentation, are best converted to alternative units of measure.
This is primarily used where the results get very large, however, the rounding table mechanisms does not stop the conversion of very small (but above the lower detection limit) values being changed to alternative suitable units of measure.
Activity Steps
- Access the CCRNGT—Range Table application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCRNGT—Search Range Table screen.
- Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.
Range tables that match the criteria display in the grid.
- Open the required range table to display the CCRNGT—Range Table Detail screen.
- Check Round Then Compare With DL.
- Click Submit.
Where the rounding table is used to round a result, when a formatted final result is determined, the result is rounded before it is compared against detection limit.
