Maintaining Unit Conversions
When a report is generated in the CCRPTR—Report Request application, when the sample scheme analyte's Unit Code and the report request sample scheme analyte's Report Unit Code both refer to different units, then the sample scheme analyte's Numeric Final Value is converted from the one unit to the other to produce the reportable value which is then passed on to the rounding process, if rounding is required. Refer to Maintain Reports for a Report Request, Generating Reports from a Report Request and Rounding and Formatting Results and Calculating Uncertainty.
During rounding, if the scheme version analyte's Rounding Method Type is Table, such that, a rounding table is being used to round the reportable value, a rounding table item row in the table is found for the rounding, and the rounding table item's Convert Unit To Code is defined as a unit that is different to the report request sample scheme analyte's Report Unit Code, then the reportable value is converted from the one unit to the other to produce the 'converted to' value which is then passed on to the next step in the rounding process, if rounding is required.
