Promote specifications for standard use to use the latest scheme versions

Use this activity to promote specifications for standard use to the latest scheme version. This activity is used also to promote specifications for product use.

When org-scope entities are promoted, they are linked to the highest published version of a scheme. When lab-scope entities are promoted, they are linked to the highest published version of the scheme that is available to the laboratory. This means that where the entity links to an enabled-scope scheme version, it is linked to the highest published version of the scheme THAT IS ENABLED by the laboratory.

Activity Steps

1. Access the CCSPFN—Specification application from the main menu or quick launch to display the CCSPFN—Search Specification screen.
2. Select the Specification Type as Standard.
3. Enter other relevant search criteria and click Search.

   Specifications that match the criteria display in the grid.

4. On the search results grid, select one or more specifications, and click the Promote grid flow option.

   The standard specifications are promoted to contain the latest scheme version, such that, each specification is promoted to contain the latest scheme version for its specification scheme version analytes.
