Maintain Resource Authorisations for a Custom Right

Use this activity to maintain resource authorisations for a custom right.

Note: You need to restart an application for these security changes to have an effect.

Activity Steps

1. Access the MSERIG—Rights application from the main menu or quick launch to display the MSERIG—Search Rights screen.
2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.

   Rights that match the criteria display in the grid.

3. Open the required right to display the MSERIG—Rights Detail screen.

To change the security levels for resources on custom rights:

1. Select the Security Level for particular rights.
2. Click Submit.

To add a resource to a custom right:

1. Either:
   1. Click Add.
   2. Enter the following fields:

      Resource Type

      Resource Name

2. Or:
   1. Click Find Resources to display the MSEREA—Search Resource Authorisation screen.
   2. Enter the relevant search criteria and click Search.

      Resources that match the criteria display in the grid.

   3. Select the required resource.
   4. Click Select and Return.

      The resources are added to the custom right.

3. Set the Security level for each added resource.
4. Click Submit.

   Note: If an application resource is added to a custom right, the resources required for the application are added automatically. Once these resources are added, they can be amended.

   Note: If the requirement is to import the resources from another right, then search for the right, select the required right, and the resource search shows all the resources associated with that right. They can be selected and imported into the right.

To remove a resource from a custom right:

1. Select the resources in the grid to be deleted.
2. Click Submit.

   The resources are removed from the custom right.

   Note: If an application resource is removed from a custom right, the resources required for the application are removed automatically.
