When you select submit to create a job in the CCREGN—Job application, then:
- If checked, then the fields on the Job Tracking tab default as follows:
- Location Code defaults to the SAM_TRACK_REG_LOCATION application preference
- Multi-Capacity Container Type Code defaults to the SAM_TRACK_REG_MULTI_CONTAINER_TYPE application preference
- Sample Handling Code defaults to the Default Sample Handling Code for the location.
- If cleared (default on deploy; default if missing), then no defaults are supplied.
When you select submit to add samples to a job in the CCREGN—Job application, or create a sample in the CCSAMP—Sample application, such that the system then creates the default sample portions for each sample when the SAM_TRACK_REG_WHEN_JOB_COMPLETE application preference is cleared, or you create a sample portion for a sample:
- If checked, then for each sample portion that is created, the Location Code defaults to the SAM_TRACK_REG_LOCATION application preference, the Single-Capacity Container Type Code defaults to the SAM_TRACK_REG_SINGLE_CONTAINER_TYPE application preference, and the Sample Handling Code defaults to the Default Sample Handling Code for the location.
- If cleared (default on deploy; default if missing), then no defaults are supplied.
Typically the preference is not set at role or user level.
