When you select submit to add samples to a job in the CCREGN—Job application, or create a sample in the CCSAMP—Sample application, then:
- If checked, then since the job is not completed (as it has just been created), then no portions are created for the sample/s.
- If cleared (default on deploy; default if missing), then portions are created as per the JOB_LEVEL_TRACKING application preference.
Typically the preference is not set at role or user level.
