Maintain program settings for a staff account
To search for program settings for a staff account:

Click Staff in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Staff.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Staff Form. Where the MainListViewGrid STAFFAPP program setting is enabled, then the list-view grid displays grid lines.
- Select the Staff » Staff codes node.
- Double-click the particular staff code to display the StaffEdit Form and select the Settings tab. The Edit1ListViewColumnn STAFF program settings define the columns of the grid.
- If no query form is used to filter the laboratories and a current filter is defined, then the program settings display in the list-view panel.
- If a query form is used to filter the program settings, then the main screen displays the query form contained in the StaffSettingUserQuery.SCR script file. Enter the criteria into the fields on the form, and click Query. The program settings matching the criteria display in the list-view panel.
To create a program setting:
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Right-click the list-view panel and select New from the drop-down menu to display the AddNew form.
- Enter the New code. Note that there are settings that must be in numerical sequence, for example, Edit1ListViewColumnn and MDERunn.
- Click OK to create the program setting and open the StaffSettingsEdit Form, or click Cancel to not proceed. Update the entity, as required.
To copy a program setting:

In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Select the row containing the Setting Name in the list-view panel.

Right-click and select Save As from the menu to create the new program setting. Update the entity, as required.
To update CCLASMGR program settings in the local laboratory from the GLOBAL laboratory (only available where you are logged in to a local laboratory and not logged in to the GLOBAL laboratory, and where you have full access rights):
- Click Properties to display the StaffProgramCfgProperties Form.
- Select the Upd global tab to display CCLASMGR staff settings from the GLOBAL laboratory that do not exist in the local laboratory (typical after a CCLAS upgrade).
- Check the selection box next to those CCLASMGR staff settings wanted for the local laboratory.
- Click Upd global to copy the settings from the GLOBAL laboratory to the local laboratory.
- Click OK to close the form and save any changes made on the Access tab, or click Cancel to close the form.
To override CCLASMGR program settings for a general staff account (not applicable for GLOBAL or USERGLOBALSETTINGS program settings):
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Click New to open the AddStaffProgramCfg Form.
- Select program settings from the full set of program settings defined for CCLASMGR, and use the >, >>, << and < buttons to add program settings to the selected program settings.
- Click OK to close the form and add the selected settings to the user's program settings, then proceed to update the setting's value, or click Cancel to not proceed.
To review a program setting:
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Double-click a Setting Name to open the StaffSettingsEdit Form (not applicable for an Access level program setting).
To update the description of a program setting:
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Right-click the setting and select Edit description from the menu to display the Staff > StaffSettingEditDescription Form.
- Select the Setting type. Once a general Setting type is selected, when the program setting is next updated, then all setting times applicable to the general one are available for selection.
- Enter the Default value, Description and Detailed description.
- Click Save to close the form to update the details, or click Close to close the form.
To update the value of a program setting:
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Double-click a Setting Name to open the StaffSettingsEdit Form.
- Enter or select the value, as per the LOOKUPTABLE, FORMLIST, FORMTYPE and ENTRYTYPE for the program setting in the STAFFPROGRAMEDIT table.
- Click Save to persist the changes, or click Cancel to not proceed.
To delete a program setting for a general staff account:
- In the Folder Items panel, select the node for the applicable CCLAS application or setting.
- Select the program setting for deletion.
- Click
Delete.
