Maintain clients
To search for clients:
- Click Client in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Client.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Client Form.
- Select the Clients » Client codes node.
- Where a query form is presented in the bottom of the right-hand grid, then enter criteria and click the Query button to filter the content returned to the grid.
- Where the Properties main menu option is enabled, to further filter the grid content based on column criteria, select the Properties main menu option and filter data using column criteria. Refer to Using the Screen Interface.
To create a client:
- Click New to display the AddNew form.
- Enter the New code.
- Click OK to create the client and open the ClientEdit Form to update the client details, as required, or click Cancel to not proceed.
To review a client:
- Double-click a Client Code to open the ClientEdit Form.
To update a client:
- Double-click a Client Code to open the ClientEdit Form to update the entity, as required.
- Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.
To enter general details for a client:
- Select the General tab.
- Enter the Client name.
- Click ... to locate and upload a Notes file for the client.
- Enter the Address, State, Country and Postcode details.
- Enter the Telephone, Fax and Email address details.
- Select the default sample Priority. Where this priority is not set, then the default sample priority is taken from that configured in the LIMS and can be updated on a job.
- Enter Job notes for the client.
- Where the client needs to access CCLAS over the Web, for example, to download certificate reports, then enter the Password.
To activate a client for registration:
- Check the Client active check box.
To deactivate the client in the system:
- Check the Disabled check box.
To enter reporting, invoicing and financial details for a client:
- Select the Miscellaneous tab.
- Select the Invoice client code. For client lookup, enter a search string in the field that matches one or more client codes, using the percent sign (%) as a wildcard, and click the F2 function key to open the client lookup form to display matching client codes from all laboratories, including clients that are disabled, and double-click the required client code.
- Select the Account manager.
- Select the Cost code.
- Enter the Account system code.
- Enter the Prompt payment no. days and Prompt payment discount.
- Select a default Report template and Data template.
- Enter the %age discount.
- Select the Invoice conversion code.
- Select the Tax flag, and where Tax flag is selected as CLI, use the >, >>, << and < buttons to assign Available taxes to the Assigned taxes for the client.
- Click ... to locate and upload a Picture/Logo file for the client.
To enter custom details for a client:
- Where the LIMS is configured to allow for the entry of custom details for the client, click User Screen in the main menu to open the custom form to update the custom details, as required.
To delete a client:
- Click
Delete.
