To review schemes and analytes in a procedure:
- Maintain procedures to display the ProcRegEdit Form containing the list of tests in the procedure.
- Expand the Scheme » Selected node in the Folder Items panel to display schemes selected for the procedure.
To add a scheme to the procedure:
- Click Add to add a scheme at the end of the procedure, or click Insert to insert a scheme above the currently selected row, to open the ProcRegSchemeAdd Form. Where a query form is presented in the bottom of the right-hand grid, then enter criteria and click the Query button to filter the content returned to the grid. Otherwise all available schemes are returned the grid.
- Select the Scheme type to display schemes of that type.
- To add all analytes as a scheme is added in the next step, check the Add all Analytes check box. To not add analytes, but to selectively add them after a scheme is added, uncheck the Add all Analytes check box.
- Where the add-all-analytes is activated, select the scheme and click OK to add the scheme with all its analytes to the procedure, or click Cancel to not proceed.
- Where the add-all-analytes is not activated, select the scheme and click OK to add the scheme to the procedure and open the ProcRegAnalyteList Form. Use the >, >>,<< and < buttons to assign Available analytes to the Assigned analytes and click OK to add the analytes to the procedure, or click Cancel to not proceed.
To review a scheme in a procedure:
- Double-click a Scheme to open the ProcRegSchemeEditANA Form, ProcRegSchemeEditPRP Form or ProcRegSchemeEditMISHDR Form, where the scheme's Type is ANA, PRP, or MIS or HDR, respectively.
To update a scheme in a procedure:
- Double-click a Scheme to open the ProcRegSchemeEditANA Form, ProcRegSchemeEditPRP Form or ProcRegSchemeEditMISHDR Form, where the scheme's Type is ANA, PRP, or MIS or HDR, respectively.
- Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.
Where the ProcRegUDF.VBS script file is located in the folder defined by the ConfigDirectory GLOBAL setting, and the file contains the SchemeUpdated subroutine, then the subroutine is run.
To reorder the schemes of the procedure:
- Select any scheme in the Scheme column.
- Click Move to open the ProcRegSeqMove Form. Use the Up arrow and Down arrow buttons to reorder the schemes within the procedure. Click OK to close the form and save the reorder, or click Cancel to close the form.
To reorder the analytes within a procedure scheme:
- Select analyte in the Analyte column for a scheme.
- Click Move to open the ProcRegAnalyteList Form. Use the >, >>,<< and < buttons to assign Available analytes to the Assigned analytes. Use the Up arrow and Down arrow buttons to reorder the analytes within the scheme of the procedure. Click OK to close the form and save the reorder, or click Cancel to close the form.
To enter analysis details for a PRP (Preparation) or ANA (Analytical) scheme in a procedure:
- Enter the Page size. For a scheme with a Type of ANA, these fields are located on the General tab.
To enter duplicate details for a PRP (Preparation) scheme in a procedure:
- Enter the Number, Blocksize, Offset and Position.
To enter quality control details for an ANA (Analytical) scheme in a procedure:
- Select the General tab.
- Blank placement:
- Enter the Number blanks.
- Select the Files tab and click ... next to Blank file contents to open the QCFile Form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add blank sample types for the required Number blanks (refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types). Alternatively, type in the blank sample types and click fx to confirm that they are valid ones. The same blank material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of blank placements.
- Select the General tab and enter the Blank blocksize, select the Blank calculation, and enter the Blank position(s).
- Standard placement:
- Enter the Number qc standards.
- Select the Files tab and click ... to open the QCFile Form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add QC standard sample types for the required Number qc standards (refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types). Alternatively, type in the QC standard sample types and click fx to confirm that they are valid ones. The same QC standard material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of QC standard placements.
- Select the General tab and enter the QC standard blocksize, select the QC standard calculation, and enter the QC standard position(s).
- Spike placement:
- Enter the Number qc spikes.
- Select the Files tab and click ... to open the QCFile Form, and use the > and >> buttons to assign Available QC types to the Assigned QC types to add QC spike sample types for the required Number qc spikes (refer to Maintaining Quality Control Types). The same QC spike material can be assigned a multiple number of times to create the required number of QC spike placements.
- Select the General tab and enter the QC spike blocksize, select the QC spike calculation and QC spike selection, and enter the QC spike position(s).
- Replicate placement:
- Enter the Number replicates.
- Enter the Replicate blocksize, select the Replicate calculation and Replicate selection, and enter the Replicate position(s). Example: To create a replicate of each sample and place each replicate sample immediately after its original unknown sample, set Number replicates to 1, Replicate blocksize to 1, and Replicate position(s) to either IMM or END, as this is equivalent in this scenario.
