Maintain quality control types for schemes

To search for quality control types for schemes:

  1. Click Method in the CCLAS EL menu or run the Scheme.exe application in the Exe folder to display the Scheme Form.
  2. Select the Methods » QC codes node to view the base quality control types of BLK (Blank) and STD (Standard).
  3. Select the QC codes » BLK or QC codes » STD node to view the quality control types for blanks and standards, respectively.
  4. Select a QC codes » BLK » Quality Control code or QC codes » STD » Quality Control code node to view the schemes associated with the quality control type.
  5. Where a query form is presented in the bottom of the right-hand grid, then enter criteria and click the Query button to filter the content returned to the grid.
  6. Where the Properties main menu option is enabled, to further filter the grid content based on column criteria, select the Properties main menu option and filter data using column criteria. Refer to Using the Screen Interface.

To create a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Click New to display the QCAddNew Form.
  2. Select the QC type to denote its use.
  3. Enter the QC code.
  4. Select the Scheme code.
  5. Click OK to create the quality control type for the scheme and open the QcontrolEdit Form to update the quality control type scheme details, as required, or click Cancel to not proceed.

To review a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Select a QC codes » BLK » Quality Control code or QC codes » STD » Quality Control code node to view the schemes associated with the quality control type.
  2. Double-click a Scheme code to open the QcontrolEdit Form.

To update a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Select a QC codes » BLK » Quality Control code or QC codes » STD » Quality Control code node to view the schemes associated with the quality control type.
  2. Double-click a Scheme code to open the QcontrolEdit Form to update the entity, as required.
  3. Click Save to close the form and save the changes, or click Close to close the form.

To enter general details for a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Select the General tab.
  2. Enter the Description.
  3. Select the QC date and Expiry date.
  4. Enter the Current stock level.
  5. Click ... to locate and upload a Notes file for the quality control type scheme.

To deactivate the quality control type for a scheme in the system:

  1. Check the Disabled check box.

To enter custom details for a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Where the LIMS is configured to allow for the entry of custom details for the quality control type, click User Screen in the main menu to open the custom form to update the custom details, as required.

To delete a quality control type for a scheme:

  1. Click Delete.
