Form:
Scheme—The code of a scheme.
Scheme version—The version of the scheme.
Analyte—The code of the analyte within the scheme version.
Units—The code of the units associated with the analytical results. The default is the analysis unit code for the scheme analyte.
Limit type—The source of the limits for the plot:
-
Analytical—Depending on whether the Source type is Blank, Standard or Product, then the plot's limits come from the BLK quality control type's scheme analyte limits, the STD quality control type's scheme analyte limits, or the product's scheme analyte unit limits.
-
Dynamic—The limits are calculated using the defined Target value, Action factor and Warning factor, and applied with a Process width, such that, if the Standard deviation is not 0, then:
-
Lower action limit = Target value - Action factor * Standard deviation
-
Lower warning limit = Target value - Warning factor * Standard deviation
-
Upper warning limit = Target value + Warning factor * Standard deviation
-
Upper action limit = Target value + Action factor * Standard deviation
-
-
Plot—The limits are taken from the defined Target value, Upper action limit, Upper warning limit, Lower warning limit and Lower action limit.
Target value—The plot's target value, only applicable where the Limit type is Dynamic or Plot.
Action factor—The factor used to determine the plot's Lower action limit and Upper action limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Dynamic.
Warning factor—The factor used to determine the plot's Lower warning limit and Upper warning limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Dynamic.
Process width—Used to calculate the Process capability which compares the statistical width with the practical width of the population. The default is 6, such that, with a plus or minus three standard deviations for a normal distribution, the normal width is six standard deviations.
-
Process capability = (Upper limit – Lower limit) / (Process width * Standard deviation)
Upper action limit—The plot's upper action limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Plot.
Upper warning limit—The plot's upper warning limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Plot.
Lower warning limit—The plot's lower action limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Plot.
Lower action limit—The plot's lower warning limit, only applicable where the Limit type is Plot.
