Configuring SPC Sessions
Overview
Statistical process control (SPC) sessions are configured for process control laboratories, allowing for the visual display of product assessments, that is, where the results of samples align with expected product limits, as soon as the samples have their analytical results recorded into CCLAS EL. This includes defining the types of charts displayed for the different analytical types.
Workstations at the point of analysis are configured to run SPC sessions to display results for different types of samples (for example, standards, process control samples, and to show analytical results for different analytes), with each session having the ability to display multiple plots, with each plot containing one or more lines showing analyte result trends.
This process is pertinent to LIMS and laboratory managers who configure the LIMS and quality control (QC) performance analysis sessions, in particular.
Process
SPC sessions are maintained using the SPC application. You need specific rights to have visibility to this application.
SPC sessions are maintained using simple SCRUD (search, create, review, update, delete) functionality under the Sessions node. You need specific rights to have visibility to this node.
A SPC session links to multiple plots, such that, when the plot session is run, all defined plots are displayed.
Each plot can contain multiple analytes. These analytes can be plotted as one combined series or as separate series.
