Flatten an Object to an RL
The relative level (RL) or relative level of an object represents the vertical distance between the objects and an agreed datum plane, such as mean sea level. The RL can be considered to be the Z co-ordinate or elevation.
When you Draw a Polygon, you can use the object snap settings on the Grid and Snap Toolbar to select points that are at the same RL as a displayed topography. However, this may mean that the polygon does not have a consistent RL. If you do not snap to points on the topography, DataBlast creates the polygon at an RL of zero. With either method, you can then flatten the polygon to a specific RL as required.
Surfaces can also be flattened (or 'projected') to a specific RL.
Activity Steps
- Select the Design module.
- Open a mine block, set of design lines, surface, stratum or drill pattern in maintenance mode.
- On the CAD Tools Ribbon Menu, in the Surface Manipulation group, click Flatten to RL.
- Select the polygon or surface boundary and right-click to finish the selection.
- Enter the RL to which to move the polygon and press Enter.
- Click Save Changes.
