Select Objects in the Viewport

The Viewport is a computer assisted drawing (CAD) area where you work with Holes, Patterns and other DataBlast Ignite Object Types and Properties.

To select objects:

• For individual objects, click each object.
• For all holes in a pattern, click the pattern boundary.
• For multiple objects that are close to each other:
  • Draw an exclusive rectangle around objects:
    1. Click the top-left corner.
    2. Click the bottom-right corner.

       Only objects fully within the blue rectangle are selected.

  • Draw an inclusive rectangle around objects:
    1. Click the top-right corner.
    2. Click the bottom-left corner.

       Any objects that are at least partially within the green rectangle are selected.

  • Draw a polygon around objects:
    1. On the Grid and Snap Toolbar, click the Polygon Select tool.
    2. Click points in the Viewport as required to draw a polygon around the objects.
    3. Right-click or press Enter.

       Only objects fully within the blue polygon are selected.

To deselect objects:

1. Press and hold Shift while clicking each object.

To clear the selection:

1. Press Esc.
