Design Hole Redrills

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Design module.
  2. Right-click a drill pattern in the DataBlast Items Tree and select Edit Selected Drill Pattern in Designer from the menu.

    The drill pattern displays in design mode.

  3. Select holes if required. See Select Objects in the Viewport.
  4. On the Holes Ribbon Menu, in the Hole Patterns group, click Design Redrills.

    The Redrill Design screen displays.

  5. Define the Specification:
    1. Select whether to Create Redrills for Selected Holes Only. If unchecked, all holes in the pattern are considered.
    2. Select whether to Create Redrills for Holes Short by More Than. If checked, enter a length.
  6. Define the Redrill Position relative to the original holes:
    • Bearing
    • Distance
  7. Configure Hole Options:
    1. Select whether to Abandon Original Holes.
    2. Select whether to Create Redrill Holes as a New Pattern. The new pattern name is a concatenation of the original name, _Redrills-, and a numerical suffix.
  8. Configure Toe Offsets if required:
    • Drill Toe Offset—A negative number creates holes that are drilled below the drill toe surface. A positive number creates a holes with a standoff above the drill toe surface.
    • Charge Toe Offset—Enter a value if you do not want to load explosives at the bottom of the hole.
  9. Click Save Changes.
