Modify the Charge Rule for a Charge Pattern
This activity is only applicable to charge patterns with a conventional charge standard. If the charge standard is G-Blast, the charge rule cannot be modified.
The charge rule is a copy of the charge standard, specific to the charge pattern. This means that you can modify the charge rule if required for the charge pattern, and those changes do not affect the charge standard.
You can save a modified charge rule as a charge standard, which makes it available for other charge patterns.
Activity Steps
- Select the Charge module.
- Select a charge pattern in the DataBlast Items Tree.
The pattern displays in the Viewport.
- On the Charge Rules Ribbon Menu, click Edit Charge Rule.
- Modify the charge rule as required.
Note: The Initiation System Type is read-only. For information about the fields in the table; how to create lengths; and how to modify the decks for the Dry, Wet and Dewatered hole types, see Maintain Conventional Charge Standards.
- Click Save Changes.
A confirmation message displays.
- Click Yes.
The modified charge rule applies to all holes for which the Single Hole Charge Standard property is Pattern Charge Standard. See Hole Properties.

The change is saved automatically.
- On the Charge Rules ribbon menu, click Copy Charge Rule to Charge Standards.
