View Vibration Analysis

For context and examples, see Vibration Modelling.

Activity Steps

  1. Select the Initiation module.
  2. Right-click the initiation pattern in the DataBlast Items Tree, and select View Vibration Analysis from the menu.

Alternatively, if you already have the initiation pattern displayed in the Viewport, on the Analysis Ribbon Menu, click View Vibration Analysis.

    The Vibration Analysis screen displays.

  3. To add a mobile monitor point:
    1. Click Add Mobile Monitor Point.
    2. Select the location of the monitor point in the Viewport.

      The Monitor Point screen displays.

    3. Update the following fields.
      • Name
      • Pos X—X-coordinate of the position.
      • Pos Y
      • Pos Z
      • V—The seismic velocity of the ground between the blast and the monitor point. This is used to calculate the arrival time of the blast waves at the monitor point in order to determine reinforcement.
      • a—Geological constant, usually around -1.3.
      • K50—Used to calculate the most likely result.
      • K95—Used to calculate the 95th percentile result.
    4. Click OK.
  4. For each monitor point, select whether to Show the K50 and K95 values.
  5. To view the location and settings of a monitor point, click View Details.
  6. To export the vibration analysis for selected monitor points as a .csv file:
    1. Click Export Monitor Point Data.
    2. Edit the file name and location as required.
    3. Click Save.
  7. To print the vibration drawing:
    1. Click Print Drawing.
    2. Adjust the print area and select printing options as required. See Print Viewport Objects.
