Firing Patterns

A firing pattern is a group of holes from one or more entire authorised initiation patterns, and for which safety information can be calculated and displayed.

The Layers Toolbar (Firing Module) has icons to toggle the display of safety information. The Flyrock Factor of Safety setting is in the Advanced Mine Site Settings.

Show Scaled Depth of Burial icon Show Scaled Depth of Burial

Toggle the display of scaled depth of burial values.

Show Flyrock Range with Factor of Safety icon Show Flyrock Range with Factor of Safety

Toggle the display of flyrock range values multiplied by the factor of safety.

Show Flyrock Circle Range with Factor of Safety icon Show Flyrock Circle Range with Factor of Safety

Toggle the display of the flyrock range multiplied by the factor of safety as a circle around each hole.

Note: Flyrock range calculations depend on accurate data being available for charge design and implementation (explosives, deck lengths, and so on). DataBlast's flyrock range calculations cannot account for wrong or poor charging instructions, geological faults or rock types that have not been mapped.

A flyrock safety boundary can also be calculated to show the maximum range of the entire firing pattern.
