Maintain Operators
For some actions, you can record which person (that is, 'operator') performed the action. For each operator, you can specify competencies with expiry dates. The competencies limit the available operators. For example, when you enter data for drilling, only operators with the Drill Operator competency display for selection
When drill data is imported from another system, it is matched to the operator by their ID number for that external system.
Access operator maintenance:
- On the DataBlast Application Menu, select Site Maintenance.
The Site Maintenance screen displays.
- Select the Operators and Shifts » Operators node.
The Operator Maintenance Ribbon Menu displays.
To add an operator:
- Click Add Operator.
- Complete the following fields as required.
- Name
- Active—Whether the operator can be selected.
- Operator ID
- Contractor
- Contractor Name
- Efficiency
- BlastPad PIN—4-digit number to identify the operator in .
- IMS Operator ID
- Wenco Operator ID
- Atlas Operator ID
- MiPlan Operator ID
- Terrain Operator ID
- Modular Provision Operator ID
- Flanders Operator ID
- Carlson Operator ID
- Jigsaw Operator ID
- Click Save Changes.
To deactivate an operator:
- Uncheck Active for the operator.
The operator displays with strike-through text.
- Click Save Changes.
To add a competency for an operator:
- Select the operator.
- Click Add Operator Competency.
- Select the Competency from Blast Controller, Blast Crew, Blast Guard, Drill Operator, Magazine Keeper, Measure, Mobile Processing Unit Operator, Public Road Traffic Controller, Shotfirer, SSAN Authorised, Stemming Truck Operator and Supervisor.
- Update the Expiry Date.
- Click Save Changes.
To delete a competency:
- Click the arrow row selector for the competency or operator.
- Press Delete (on your keyboard).
A confirmation message displays.
- Click Yes.
- Click Save Changes.
