Troubleshooting

In addition to the error logging configured via the Service Control » Service settings in the DataBlast Client, and in the Windows Event Manager, DataBlast Pro includes the following troubleshooting tools.

Log Viewer

You can configure diagnostic logging via Site Maintenance » Service Control » Service in the DataBlast Client. See Configure Error Handling and Logging for the DataBlast Service.

The locations for log files are the DataBlast subfolders under C:\ProgramData\Datamine. You can import as many log files as required. Log files can be for different applications; for example, you can import log files for the DataBlast Service, DataBlast Client and for BlastPad.

    The DataBlast Log Viewer displays.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) to enter a data source connection string to the DataBlast Logs database. Default: Data Source=localhost;Initial Catalog=DataBlastLogs;Integrated Security=True.

  7. Click Retrieve Data.

You can group, sort and filter records as required.
