Enter Drilling Data in BlastPad

Note: The BlastPad Drill Entry measurement entry template controls which fields are available for data entry, selection of boolean conditions and display of historical properties. See Maintain Measurement Entry Templates.

Activity Steps

  1. Log in as an operator with the Drill Operator competency. See Log in to the BlastPad Application.
  2. View a Hole Pattern in BlastPad.
  3. Select a hole.

    The hole detail screen displays a diagram of the hole and a list of the design specifications.

  4. To record the drilling time:
    1. Select Start when the drilling begins.
    2. Select Stop when the drilling finishes.
  5. Enter the as-drilled data as required.

    Note: The Fix to Toe Point setting is editable and has the same effect as the BlastPad Drill Toe Fixed to Design Toe in Hole Properties:

    • If checked and you change the Collar RL, DataBlast Pro recalculates the hole depth, angle and bearing to preserve the fixed design toe position. You can override these calculated values.
    • If unchecked and you change the collar RL, DataBlast Pro recalculates the drill toe position using the entered data.
  6. To specify the condition of the hole:
    1. In the button menu, select Condition.
    2. Select the conditions as required.
  7. To view historical data for the hole:
    1. In the button menu, select History.
    2. Select the historical record type.
  8. Select the Save and Return toolbar icon to save the hole data and return to the hole pattern.
