Mechanisms to Record Actual Values

Actual values of production fields can be stored against the following mechanisms:

• Tasks - either as a total quantity to date per task or as multiple daily readings against each task. See
• Resources - multiple daily readings against each resource
• Project - multiple daily readings against the project

These settings vary per production field depending on the Records Actuals On property for each field.

• For a Fixed Rate task its percentage complete value is linked to the total actual value of the driving production field (the production field on which the task rate is based). If the actual value of the production field is changed, the percentage complete is updated accordingly, and vice versa.

• For a Fixed Duration task the percentage complete value has to be entered separately.
