Filters

DTS allows you to create task, resource and assignment filters.

Task filters can be used to:

• limit the number of rows displayed in the Gantt chart view
• assign different formulae for production and text fields for groups of tasks
• define summary fields to display production properties
• define different production rates for groups of tasks

Resource and assignment filters can only be used to limit the number of rows displayed in the Crosstab and resource bar chart views respectively.

A filter consists of a number of conditions join by And / Or operators. Each condition consists of a field, a test operator (=, Not=, <, <=, >, >=) and a value, e.g. % Complete > 0.

Additionally the following options can be set:

• Show related summary tasks - if set, any parent summary tasks that contain filtered tasks will also be selected by the filter
• Highlight - all items is displayed but the filtered items highlighted in a different color
• Show Only - only filtered items (tasks / resources / assignments) is displayed in the relevant views
• Locked - the filter cannot be changed until it is unlocked
