Generate Code Field Values

This screen is used to generate values for code fields automatically, based on the values stored in an existing project attribute.

Activity steps:

  1. Display the Text Fields screen.

  2. Select or create a code field.

  3. Click Generate Code Values.

  4. A prompt displays warning you that all existing code values is replaced if you continue. Click Yes.

    The Generate Code Values screen displays.

  5. Expand the Based on field list and pick the project attribute containing the unique values you wish to apply to your code field.

  6. Choose if a <Not defined> code is to be created. If your code has to include a value, uncheck this option.

  7. Click Generate.

    The code field values list updates to include only the unique project values for the selected property.
