The Flowchart view has a dedicated Home ribbon.

These commands relate to the creation and configuration of dashboard charts.

Group Commands
Schedule
  • New – Create a new Schedule view based on the currently loaded project.

  • Open – Open a schedule for display in the Schedule view.

  • Macros – Display the Macros control bar.

Show
  • Ruler – Show or hide ruler indicators along the edges of the flowchart. The ruler can help to line things up or achieve a particular element spacing.
  • Grid – Show or hide a grid overlay on the flowchart canvas. You can also snap to this grid using the Canvas Functions option (see below).
  • Page Breaks – Show or hide the margins of the flowchart canvas, for each page of the hardcopy output.
Layout
  • Re-Layout Page – Pick a preset layout theme for the flowchart, such as a left to right (or right to left) Tip Over arrangement, or a Circular layout, for example.
  • Connectors – Choose how flowchart nodes are connected, using either CurvedStraight or Right Angle connector types.
  • Re-layout Subordinates - Similar to the Re-Layout Page options, but in this case choose how dependent items (the 'child' nodes of a flow chart) are arranged in relation to their parent items.
  • Filter – Filter the flowchart to show either all schedule items (Overview), only Tasks or only Destination relationships.
  • Refresh - Refresh the view of the flowchart to incorporate the latest data and formatting changes.
Canvas Functions
  • Read Only – If checked, the flowchart can only be viewed and not edited. In essence, it is 'locked'.

  • Snap to Items – If checked, flowchart items will snap to each other when repositioned.

  • Snap to Grid – If checked, flowchart items snap to grid intervals. This can be useful to assure a tidy layout.

Print Print your flowchart using the Print Preview screen options.
