Pivot Table Home

The Pivot Table view has a dedicated Home ribbon.

These commands relate to the creation and configuration of pivot tables for schedule data. These commands also relate to the chart display of pivoted data.

Group Commands
Schedule
  • New – Create a new Schedule view based on the currently loaded project.

  • Open – Open a schedule for display in the Schedule view.

  • Macros – Display the Macros control bar.

Pivot Table
  • Current Pivot Table – Select a pivot table layout from the drop-down.

    Options – Set the pivot table options such as row, column and data areas.

    Refresh – Refresh the pivot table base data.

Chart Type

Chart Type – Select the pivot table bar chart type from a range of options.

Data

Task Filter – Select a task filter from the drop-down to apply to the data of the current pivot table.

Totals
  • Show Row Total – Check/uncheck to show row totals in the pivot table.
  • Show Row Grand Total – Check/uncheck to show a row grand total in the pivot table.
  • Show Column Total – Check/uncheck to show column totals in the pivot table.
  • Show Column Grand Total – Check/uncheck to show a column grand total in the pivot table.
  • Show Domain Function – In the event that more than one task is selected, check to display the domain function (SUM, AVERAGE and so on) used in the first column of the table, for example, the following fields using the SUM function:

  • Hide fields with value 0.0 – Check/uncheck to hide zero value fields in the pivot table.
  • Show data fields in rows – If checked, each field contributing to pivoted results (that is, the fields shown in the Data Area of the pivot table management console) is shown in the first column of the pivot table. If unchecked, only a grand total displays.
Output
  • Copy To Clipboard – Copy the current selection to the clipboard.

    Print – Open the Print Preview screen.

Date Range Filter

  • From – Set the start of the date range for filtering.

  • To – Set the end of the date range for filtering.

  • Filter Period – Define the period length by which the date filter moves backwards and forwards when the adjacent relevant button is clicked.

  • Move Backwards – Move the filter period backwards by a single period, unless otherwise specified in the Filter Period.

  • Move Forwards – Move the filter period forwards by a single period, unless otherwise specified in the Filter Period.
