Import Drillhole Data from a Fusion Database

Use the Fusion Drillhole Import workflow to import drillhole data from a Fusion database into a Discover drillhole project.

Note: Fusion drillhole import is a one-way workflow. Imported drillhole data can be displayed in ArcGIS Pro, but it cannot be sent back to Fusion.

Before You Begin

Sign in to Fusion with the Fusion Connector. You only need to sign in once during an ArcGIS Pro session. If ArcGIS Pro is closed, sign in again. An open Fusion Connector session lasts up to 24 hours.

The Fusion Connector includes the following settings:

  • Authentication Method - Select Database Authentication to sign in with a Fusion database user ID and password, or Windows Authentication to use your Windows user ID.
  • Server Address - Enter the URL used to access the Fusion database instance.
  • User ID - Enter the Fusion database user ID.
  • Password - Enter the Fusion database password.
  • Authenticate - Click this button after entering credentials to sign in to Fusion.
  • Data Source - Select Local or Central.
  • Business Unit - Select the business unit from the Fusion database instance.
  • DHL Logging Style - Select the Drillhole Logger style from the Fusion database instance.
  • SSTN Logging Style - Select the Sample Station style from the Fusion database instance.
  • Registered Device - Select the registered device for the Fusion database.

Activity Steps

  1. On the Drillhole ribbon tab, in the Drillhole Project group, click Drillhole Manager.

    The Drillhole Manager window displays.

  2. Under Project, expand New and click Import Fusion.

    The Fusion Drillhole Import dialog box opens.

  3. In the Holes pane, select the collars to import into the drillhole project.

    Click Select All or Select None to update the hole selection, if required.

  4. In the Tables pane, select the standard or custom tables to import.
    • Standard tables are default database tables that form part of the database schema.
    • Custom tables are user-defined tables.
  5. To view the data in a selected table, select the table and click Display table data.
  6. In the Column Selection pane, select the columns to import from the selected table.

    The pane displays the following column properties:

    • Select Column - Select whether to import the column.
    • Column - The column name in the Fusion database.
    • Alias - The alias defined for the database column in Fusion.
    • Data Type - The column data type; for example, character or numeric.
    • Length - The column length.
    • Table - The Fusion table that contains the column.
  7. Select whether to Show hidden columns, if required.
  8. Click Select All or Select None to update the column selection, if required.
  9. Click OK.

    The standard Drillhole Project Setup wizard opens.
